JOW is a full-service architecture and interior design studio that crafts joyful spaces to elevate the experience of daily life. We are a research driven practice whose projects are characterized by their elegant geometries and exhibit a deep understanding of material detail. We work across project types including affordable and high-end residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, furniture design, and art installations.

Our studio is committed to sustainable building and works with communities to identify opportunities for how design can be leveraged as a catalyst for change. We believe in an architecture that is in critical dialogue with history, culture, and the institutions around us. Each project is a collaborative opportunity to both re-articulate old processes and discover the new.

Joshua Jow has extensive experience working in the fields of architecture, furniture design, and the arts. Prior to founding JOW he worked with Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Deborah Berke Partners in New York on large-scale arts and institutional projects. He has been a visiting critic at architecture schools throughout the northeast and is currently adjunct faculty at City College of New York and Parsons School of Design. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a registered architect in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects. The office is run concurrently with a collective of talented and dedicated designers who execute collaborative research and projects.
