About
JOW Office is led by Joshua Jow, a registered architect in the state of New York. Born to immigrant parents in Texas, Joshua learned the value of craft and working with one’s hands at an early age at his family’s restaurant. This desire to create has led him from apprenticeships in woodworking studios to a number of leading architecture offices in New York - including TenBerke and Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Leading multi-disciplinary design teams he has completed buildings for developers, universities, and cultural institutions. His work is rooted in helping individuals and organizations link design thinking to their missions.
In addition to his architectural work, Joshua is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Spitzer School of Architecture at CUNY and has also taught at the Parsons School of Design. His academic research focuses on multi-family housing and the environmental impacts of adaptive reuse.
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
